PickleTime Terms of Use

Welcome to PickleTime ("PickleTime"), available at PickleTime.ca and related services.
PickleTime is operated by Foxhound Consulting Corp. ("we," "our," or "us").
These Terms of Use explain how PickleTime works and govern your use of the service.
By creating an account or using PickleTime, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use PickleTime.
1. What PickleTime Is
PickleTime is a coordination and scheduling platform that helps users organize recreational activities, group play, availability, matches, locations, and related communications.
PickleTime is intended to help people coordinate activities with individuals they know or choose to invite.
PickleTime is a platform only. We do not organize events, supervise activities, verify users, or guarantee outcomes.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use PickleTime.
By using PickleTime, you confirm that:
- You are at least 18 years old;
- You are legally able to enter into these Terms; and
- The information you provide is accurate and current.
3. Accounts and Security
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
You agree to:
- Keep your password secure;
- Provide accurate account information;
- Promptly update inaccurate information; and
- Notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.
We may suspend or restrict access to accounts where security concerns, misuse, fraud, or violations of these Terms are suspected.
4. Group Participation and User-Controlled Membership
PickleTime allows users to create and participate in groups.
Members of a group may have the ability to invite, add, or remove participants from that group.
Group composition, invitations, removals, scheduling decisions, match participation, and communications are controlled by users and not by PickleTime.
PickleTime is not responsible for membership decisions, scheduling disputes, missed activities, or disagreements between users.
5. Communication Features
PickleTime may use email to support the operation of the platform, including:
- Group invitations;
- Invitation reminders or resends;
- Match confirmations;
- Calendar invitations (.ics files);
- Password reset or account-related notifications;
- Feedback and support communications; and
- Other service-related communications.
PickleTime does not currently send SMS or text messages to users.
However, PickleTime may provide tools that allow users to initiate direct SMS or group text conversations using their own device's messaging applications. Users are responsible for communications sent using those tools.
6. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Harass, threaten, intimidate, or abuse others;
- Impersonate another person;
- Use PickleTime for spam or unauthorized commercial activity;
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems or accounts;
- Upload or share unlawful, harmful, or abusive content; or
- Use PickleTime in a manner that interferes with the experience or safety of others.
We reserve the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or otherwise threaten the safety, integrity, or enjoyment of PickleTime.
7. Activities and Assumption of Risk
No Emergency Use
PickleTime is intended for recreational scheduling and coordination only and should not be relied upon for emergency communications, urgent notifications, time-sensitive safety matters, or critical services.
PickleTime is a scheduling and coordination platform only.
We do not:
- Organize or supervise activities;
- Vet or verify users;
- Conduct background checks;
- Guarantee attendance;
- Guarantee conduct or behavior of participants;
- Guarantee safety; or
- Guarantee outcomes of activities.
Participation in recreational activities, meetings, and interactions with other users is at your own risk.
Users should exercise reasonable judgment when participating in activities and meeting with others.
You are solely responsible for evaluating whether a group, location, activity, or participant is appropriate for you.
8. Availability of Service
We aim to keep PickleTime available and reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features of PickleTime at any time.
PickleTime is currently offered free of charge. In the future, we may introduce optional paid features, sponsorships, advertisements, or premium services. If material changes are introduced, we will communicate them appropriately.
9. Intellectual Property
PickleTime, including its software, source code, functionality, design, user interface, branding, logos, trademarks, graphics, content, and related materials, is owned by or licensed to Foxhound Consulting Corp. and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Subject to these Terms, PickleTime grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for its intended purpose.
Except as expressly permitted by applicable law, you may not:
- Copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works based on the Service;
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to discover or derive the source code, underlying structure, algorithms, or technical implementation of the Service;
- Access or use the Service for the purpose of developing, marketing, or operating a competing product or service;
- Use automated tools, bots, scrapers, crawlers, or similar technologies to access, collect, extract, or harvest data from the Service without prior written permission;
- Remove, obscure, or alter any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices contained within the Service.
No ownership rights are transferred to you through your use of PickleTime. All rights not expressly granted in these Terms are reserved by Foxhound Consulting Corp.
10. Feedback and Suggestions
If you provide PickleTime with feedback, suggestions, ideas, feature requests, recommendations, or other comments regarding the Service ("Feedback"), you grant Foxhound Consulting Corp. a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free right to use, modify, implement, publish, and incorporate such Feedback into the Service or any related products without compensation, attribution, or further permission from you.
You acknowledge that any Feedback provided is voluntary and does not create any ownership interest, partnership, joint venture, or entitlement to compensation.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Foxhound Consulting Corp., its officers, directors, contractors, employees, affiliates, and PickleTime are not responsible for:
- Injuries, losses, disputes, or damages arising from activities coordinated through PickleTime;
- Missed activities, no-shows, cancellations, or scheduling issues;
- Actions or conduct of other users;
- Communications between users; or
- Interruptions, technical failures, or data loss.
PickleTime is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Foxhound Consulting Corp., PickleTime, its officers, directors, employees, and affiliates from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:
- Your use of PickleTime;
- Your participation in activities;
- Your communications with other users; or
- Your violation of these Terms.
13. Termination
You may stop using PickleTime at any time.
We may suspend or terminate accounts where:
- These Terms are violated;
- Misuse is suspected;
- Safety concerns arise; or
- Continued use may negatively affect other users or the platform.
14. Feature Evolution
Features, workflows, and functionality of PickleTime may evolve over time. References in these Terms and Privacy Policy are intended to describe current functionality and may change as the service develops.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time as PickleTime evolves.
When material changes are made, we will update the Effective Date and take reasonable steps to notify users where appropriate.
Continued use of PickleTime after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the laws of Canada applicable therein.
Any disputes arising from these Terms or the use of PickleTime shall be resolved in the courts of British Columbia, Canada.
